Montrose, COLO.—At 11:37 a.m. on April 29, WestCO dispatch received a call from the 69000 block of Vernal Road about an unresponsive child. Despite life-saving measures performed by first responders, the 3-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the hospital. The child is identified as John Robert Gorsky, of Montrose, Colo. The cause of death appears to be drowning. The cause and manner of death are still under investigation by the Montrose County Coroner’s Office of Medical Investigation and Montrose County Sheriff’s Office. An autopsy has been scheduled.
