Deceased Body Found During Search 

Montrose, COLO.—On 10/09/2024, members of the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff’s Posse conducted a search on a property in the 71000 block of Buckhorn Road. The search was conducted in response to a recent reported missing person in the area.

During the search, a body of a deceased person was located. The identification of the body will be released by the Montrose County Coroner’s Office pending next of kin notification.

There is an on-going investigation by the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with Colorado Bureau of Investigations, 7th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and the Montrose County Coroner’s Office. There is no threat to the community at this time.
