How to connect with an inmate in jail

Phone Calls

Inmates are provided two initial free local phone call to notify someone that they are in custody or to arrange bond, while in booking.

To set up to receive phone calls by an inmate, visit customer.cidnet.net or call 1‑888‑984‑1903 for customer service.

All correspondence to inmates must be addressed as follows:

Mail Guidelines:

  • All incoming mail will be opened and inspected before being delivered to the inmate.
  • All mail must include a clear return name and complete address.
  • Incoming legal mail will only be opened in the presence of the inmate and inspected for contraband.
    • Legal mail is defined as any mail received from a licensed attorney, a judge of any court of record, the Attorney General, or the Governor.
  • No packages will be accepted for inmates

Inmate Money and Commissary

  • Money can be delivered in person to the Montrose County Jail.
  • Personal checks are not accepted.
  • Funds can be deposited online at JailATM.com.
  • Commissary items may only be purchased by inmates who have available funds.
  • To send your inmate a gift pack, visit JailATM.com.
