0912 Hours Deputy was dispatched to a stray dog in the 16500 Block 6400 Road.
0933 Hours Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person at Chipeta and West Oak Grove Road.
0955 Hours Deputy was dispatched to a report of a snake in a house in the 1000 Block 6435 Road. Below is an excerpt of the report:
“On 09/27/18, at approximately 0955 hrs., I responded to 1024 64.35 Rd., Montrose County, Colorado, on report of a snake inside the residence. Upon arriving, I met with the reporting party, Isabel Loera Verdoza (DOB 02/14/91).
Isabel walked me to a back bedroom of the residence and pointed to the closet door in the room, where the bottom of the door met the floor. I observed a dark
green “scaly” back protruding from underneath the closet door. Isabel, after showing me the apparent serpent that had found its way inside her residence,
fled the room and returned to the front of the residence.
Fighting off my unreasonable aversion to snakes, I
began evaluating my next rational move to rid Isabel’s residence of this unwanted visitor. Despite my elevated heart rate, I was able to proceed without suggesting to Isabel she should just move out of her residence.
After careful and tactical maneuvering to contain the snake, I found the snake was actually a small three inch toy anteater that was carefully manufactured to
show a distinct scale like body. I removed the toy from underneath the door and showed Isabel what I found, providing both of us with equal amounts of relief and laughter.
After my heart rate returned to a normal rhythm and I was safe to drive, I cleared without further issue.”
1100 Hours Deputy took a cold report of a sex offense which occurred somewhere in Montrose County.
1211 Hours Deputy responded to a vicious dog report in the 9600 Block Hillside Road.
1353 Hours Deputy was dispatched to a stray dog in the 5100 Block North Townsend Avenue.
1351 Hours Deputy performed a welfare check in the 17200 Block Chipeta Road.
1444 Hours Deputy assisted state patrol with looking for subjects who ran from a traffic stop at mile marker 84 on Highway 50.
1544 Hours Deputy assisted a citizen in the 3000 Block North Townsend Avenue.
1613 Hours Deputy responded to a stray dog in the 54200 Block Feather Court.
1631 Hours Deputy was dispatched to a civil matter in the 11400 Block 6250 Road.
1721 Hours Terrence Sebring, 62, was arrested for DUI and failure to signal at Marine and 6360 Road.
1724 Hours Joanie Sandoval, 53, was arrested on a warrant in the 9600 Block Hillside Road.
1844 Hours Deputy responded to an assault in the 1200 Block East Oak Grove Road. Investigation continues.
1842 Hours Deputy took an informational report in the 900 Block Spring Creek Road.
1945 Hours Deputy was dispatched to a report of suspicious activity in the 62800 Block Highway 90.
2106 Hours Deputy responded to a report of gunshots in the 62800 Block LaSalle Road. Nothing was located.
2122 Hours Timothy June, 38, was arrested on a warrant in the 13300 Block L Road.

0157 Hours Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 15500 Block 6800 Road. Cesar Perez Arpista, 25, was arrested and booked on charges of domestic violence, harassment, and criminal mischief.
